Wooden objects to decorate, to paint, figurine, napkin ring, animal place card

The objects to decorate and paint are :

maple wood for the figurines,

in ash or beech wood for the towel racks and puzzles,

in spruce for the hearts and decorative objects.

Maple, a hard and white wood, with a homogeneous fiber, allows a good solidity, even of the fine parts, and a good rendering of colors.
Very little diffusion in the wood fiber. These figurines can even be decorated with markers, an advantage for children who are not always very skilled with a brush.
The maple is very pleasant to fire (homogeneous structure: no alternation hard fiber, soft fiber).

Very light, these figures in thickness 3mm can be transformed into magnets or be glued with "patafix", in thickness 7 mm they hold upright and can be put on shelves or other.

The ash, a hard wood with fairly pronounced veins, can be white or brown. It is difficult to fire (hard wood and alternating fibers).

The metre, a hard wood, slightly brown, sometimes with more marked brown spots, pyrographs well.

These 3 woods by their hardness, ensure a good resistance, even of the thinner parts, and little diffusion of the colors in the fibers of wood.
The maple and the beech are well burned.
